Updated Class Schedule As of September 2010!

We are now offering an expanded schedule for the fall - check out our schedule page (don't forget to scroll down to see Classroom B!) to see all of our new and current class times! For new classes, we will need 4 students to open each time, so we can add you to our wait lists and contact you as soon as we are able to have your student attend. We have scheduled times perfect for siblings who need to be in two different classes - much more convenient for our parents to start or end both classes at the same time! We also have numerous classes earlier in the day for our younger and home-school students, as well as you parents who have time during the day or evening and have always wanted to try an art class! Don't wait - contact the office today!!

Join our Yahoo Group!

We have created a yahoo group for the purpose of sending billing notifications, information about events, closures, and more! Contact our office to sign up, and help us to save paper, ink waste, and time! Be the first to find out about upcoming parties, new workshops and classes, and special offers! (We will not allow spamming to your accounts.)

Fall Art Exhibit

Our Fall Art Exhibit will be on display in both classrooms from Saturday, October 16 through Friday, October 22. This is a great time to visit the studio, talk to the teachers and our office manager, Charisse, and to see what amazing, talented students we have at the studio. For those students who are enrolled in October and would like to participate in the show, we will be sending out information on how to enter artwork - the deadline for all artwork submissions will be Monday, October 11. Certificates for participants will be distributed at our annual Halloween Party (see details below!)

Annual Halloween Party!

This year's party will be on Friday, October 22, from 6:30-8:30pm. Students and parents are invited to come dressed in costume (the teachers certainly are excited to dress in costume as well!), there will be games and prizes, treats and hopefully no tricks! If you haven't seen our Fall Art Exhibit, the Halloween party is your chance! Bring friends, neighbors, and family - the event is free but we do ask parents to stay with their children throughout the event.

Live Model Figure Class Curriculum

As part of our ongoing goal of providing long-term learning for our students, we will now offer the opportunity for our advanced students to learn the figure. Through binders which introduce students into all of the aspects of portraiture and figure, students will progress towards drawing from a live clothed model. Students interested in this curriculum may work in their regular class times and then attend the live model session once per month. Students must be age 8 and older, must have attended classes with us or have a portfolio of advanced work, and must have teacher approval to begin the program. Call the office for more details, or speak to your teachers about your interest in the figure!
