We are now offering an expanded schedule for the fall - check out our schedule page (don't forget to scroll down to see Classroom B!) to see all of the new times we hope to open. All we need to open a new class is 4 or more students! And if you are the one to find all 4 new students, you receive A MONTH OF FREE ART CLASSES! Don't know 4 other artists? That's fine! Let us add you to the wait list for any class times that work for your schedule and we'll contact you as soon as we have 4 people to open the class! We have scheduled times perfect for siblings who need to be in two different classes - much more convenient for our parents to start or end both classes at the same time! We also have numerous classes earlier in the day for our younger and home-school students, as well as you parents who have time during the day or evening and have always wanted to try an art class! New Seasonal Workshops

Beginning the first Wednesday in September, we will offer 8-week seasonal workshops including a Halloween, Winter, Valentine's Day, and Monster workshop, as well as a special "Where the Wild Things Are" workshop to coincide with the new movie release! Students will work with a variety of materials including air-dry clay and sculpey, paper sculpture, and, of course, drawing and coloring following the standards of KidsArt to produce wonderful holiday decorations! Here are the dates!

Where the Wild Things Are 9/10-10/1, Halloween 10/7-10/28, Thanksgiving 11/4-11/25, Winter 12/2-12/23, Anime 1/6-1/27, Valentines Day 2/3 or 2/10 (this is a one-day workshop), Palette of Art 3/3-3/24, Monster 4/7-4/28, Where the Wild Things Are 5/5-5/26.

Figure Drawing Class

Our KidsArt teachers are very excited to offer a Fridy night figure drawing class this year. This class is once per week, month to month, and will include learning the proportions of the face and figure, line drawings, charcoal, pastels, sketching, and working with a live clothed model. The class is from 6:30-9:00 each Friday night - sign up now with the office to reserve your seat! Although our teachers are there to instruct, guide the projects, and help as much as your student (or yourself!) might need, this class is for students ages 13 and older and for those who have experience in drawing classes. Those students who are beginners to figure will begin working from our books before moving onto the model, but may attend in the same class. Watch for our Ladies Nights in this class!

Holiday Parties and Art Shows

We had a wonderful time at our Halloween party, and we were so excited to see the gorgeous artwork turned in for our Formal Art Exhibit in December! Watch for information on our Spring Party, a Summer Workshop Preview Party, and a Summer Workshop Finale party! We are also always looking for great places to host an art show - from a few original pieces to a huge show on our special art panels - if you have any ideas or would like to host a show, please contact the office! Our art shows are wonderful ways to allow our parents to see what beatiful art their children have created, and to reward our students for all of their hard work. We will have numerous art shows throughout the year - sign up for our yahoo group to hear all about them!
